As I am sure you are aware the NM Legislature in a special session passed HB 2 which became law on June 30th 2021
The Cannabis Regulation Act - NMSA XXXXXX went into effect in terms of personal use, possession, and cultivation as of June 29th, 2021.
While legal in NM Cannabis (Marijuana) remains a schedule one illegal drug at the national level. Contractors and their employees should be very wary of their decisions regarding cannabis use and its potential effect on Federal Government contracts at any federal government property or installation; I.E.: Kirtland AFB, White Sands, Sandia Natl Labs, Los Alamos National Labs and similar.
Similarly, while currently legal, your insurance company will likely have some very clear guidance on ensuring that a policy is developed and implemented evenly and in a timely manor across your organization.
